5 Things I Can't Leave The House Without

When it comes to leaving the house, I never feel like I have everything I need, not until my bag is literally bursting at the seams.

1. My phone - As sad and bad as it sounds, if I'm on my own, I will get so bored and feel so out of place if I don't have my phone on me because usually if i'm bored I'll go on Instagram or anything to keep my brain occupied for a while. As I rarely remember I'm wearing a watch, I'll use my phone to read the time (which means I'll actually go digging in my bag to find my phone instead of looking at my wrist, doesn't make sense I know).

2. Hairbrush - I honestly go mad if I have forgotten my hair brush, I hate it when my hair gets tangled and matted and I will always give it a brush now and again as I don't really want bird nests hair!

3. Purse - I like to have money on me, even if it's a small amount. You just never know when you're going to need 2p or £10.

4. Keys - Obviously keys are an essential, especially if no one is home to let you back in after.

5. Me - I think the whole idea of 'me' leaving the house without myself is impossible. It just doesn't make sense. Okay, I'll stop typing now, it's getting weird... .

NYC Applelicious Balm - 355 Applelicious Pink

When I purchased my Expert Last lipstick I also bought this. It's part of NYC's new range called Applelicious (except the 'o' is in the shape of an apple, how clever!) Also going through the core of the balm is a cute apple shape.

-
This lip balm gives a nice subtle colour yet hydrates the lips for a long amount of time. Plus, it smells like apples which makes me want to eat it (don't worry I won't).

This particular colour is a lovely warm but bright pink which I think will suit anyone. It's definitely a great buy for the winter season as it will ensure you don't get chapped lips and at the same time will give you nice colour with just one coat.

Below is a swatch which is the result after just one coat so you could add more coats if wish.

Overall, I'd say it's a great little buy especially for a lip balm and at £2.49 I'd say why not.

NYC Expert Last Lipstick 432 Red Rapture

NYC Expert Last Lipstick 432 Red Rapture
Superdrug
£1.99
A while ago, I went into Superdrug to buy a new lipstick. I went to the NYC section and bought an Expert Last Lipstick which was in the shade Air Kiss... I think. I absolutely loved the pigmentation and the wear of it so I decided to go back for another.  I tried out several different shades but this one Red Rapture, stood out amongst the others for me, purely because it's a vibrant red shade and I'm a sucker for red lips. I loved the colour so I whisked it away and into the basket it went. As I'm not a lipstick toucher-upper (hmm that could sound wrong) I thought it would be another perfect companion for me.

Here is a swatch of the lipstick and that's just one coat see, told you it was vibrant!

It's highly pigmented, stays on for 3-4+ hours without re-applying plus it smells nice but you aren't able to smell or taste it whilst on the lips. I would HIGHLY recommend this lipstick and it's ONLY £1.99, like seriously, go and get yourself one like... NOW! I love love love it so much so I think you should give it a go also.

V05 Miracle Mist Conditioning Spray

£4.39 from Boots

I was in my local drug store, Boots looking for a product that would leave my hair soft, silky and shiny from the 37482 times I've dyed and bleached my hair (I'm surprised I still have hair to look after to be honest!)
Anyway, I came across this which I found had such an amazing smell! Plus, it can also be used as a heat defence... How can it get any better? I just had to buy it immediately.

I must be on my 5th bottle or something because it's just sooo good! I use it after every time I wash my hair and if my hair feels a bit thirsty between washes I just spray this on my ends and my hair comes back to life! TIP: Whatever you do, DO NOT spray it directly to the roots or you may suffer greasy hair (who wants that when you've only just washed it?) So I suggest you all buy it if you suffer from frizzy and dry hair or you just want to treat your hair! I will probably suggest all of their 'Elixir With 5 Natural Oils' range because not only do they smell amazing, they do wonders for your hair!

MUA Heaven and Earth Eyeshadow Palette

MUA Heaven and Earth Eyeshadow Palette

Price: £4.00

I bought mine in store from Superdrug but you can also buy it from their online store here: http://www.superdrug.com/eyes/make-up-academy-professional-eye-palette-heaven+earth/invt/267771 and also from the MUA online store here: http://www.muastore.co.uk/

I'd seen A LOT of people raving about and purchasing this particular palette and decided to do some further research on the colours and looks you could get with it.

I admit, I never was an eyeshadow person before but this palette has shown me my love for eyeshadow.

The casing is okay, nothing amazing just basic plastic but does the job. I've had this palette for a couple of months now, hence the messiness and some of the colours dipping. The clip to click the lid shut has snapped off but shouldn't effect the eyeshadows too much. Other than this minor problem I think this palette is a must have! It's £4, you definitely can't go wrong.

As for the applicator, I tend not to use it as I have my own brushes and I find using brushes easier and the eyeshadows apply more evenly.

Top six colours/row = Left to right. Then continued onto bottom row left to right for the remaining colours.

Some colours are more pigmented than others but I suppose that could be a good thing if you're just going for a more subtle look. Most of the colours have a glittery/shimmery sheen to them but I find this makes them look more appealing and makes your eyes glow.

It's known as Urban Decay's Naked Palette 'dupe', I can agree with this but obviously, the colours aren't going to be exactly the same, but they're close enough!

Overall, I absolutely love it as you can create simple everyday looks or create bold dramatic looks (and the fact it's only £4!) So you can use it for pretty much every occasion! It's so handy as well, as it's quite small so you can easily pop it into your bag in case of emergencies! Definitely recommend you get yourself one of these!
