Soap & Glory Peaches and Clean Cleanser

Soap & Glory Peaches and Clean Cleanser
Boots £8.00

So for Christmas I received a Soap & Glory set from my brother filled with loads of goodies.
This was one of the products that I tried out pretty much immediately. The product itself smells so healthy and clean, but considering it says 'peaches' that's probably why it smells this way. But anyway, more onto what the product does.

When I applied this I literally caked my whole face in it (obviously taking caution around my eyes and mouth as I don't think it would taste too nice). I left it on for a little bit, washed it off with luke warm water and taa-daa! my skin was fresh and ready to go! I couldn't stop touching my face because it had literally never felt that soft before. I've been using it every week since Christmas and have noticed my skin has kept so soft and clean as well as hydrated. I try not to use it too much as I don't want my skin to become immune to it so I use other cleansers in between.

This has definitely become one of my all time favourite face care products, I highly recommend it if you're after a fresh, clean and healthy complexion which I'm sure everyone is!

Away to Azores

For my holiday this summer I went to Azores for 2 weeks which is an island in the Mid-Atlantic somewhere (not actually 100% sure) but anyway, it is West of Portugal and Portuguese is spoken there.

It was such a different place to what I have been to before and where we were staying was kind of in the middle of no where but it was quiet apart from the barking dog that would go off every 5 seconds without fail!

More about the place...
The scenery there is literally beautiful. Clear blue waters, the sun beaming down making the sea glisten and sparkle as the wind blows the waves around. It was incredibly hot, it got around 30°c with about 70-80% humidity. The humidity made it impossible to actually be outside for long amounts of time and I actually got heat-stroke at one point because I boiled over! Anyway, the house we stayed in was lovely. It had 2 bedrooms both with a double bed in and set of bunk beds that could potentially sleep 8 altogether. It had a flat screen TV in the kitchen/dining area and a walk in shower which was great. The other great part was we had a sun terrace/balcony type thing so when the sun started setting we could move from the garden up onto the terrace and still catch some rays hooray!

We went to quite a lot of the town/villages but we only stayed on one island and I actually found out towards the end that there's 8 other islands to visit! My favourite place was Ponta Delgada which is the capital of Azores and was probably the busiest place we actually visited. This made me feel better as it was nice to be around people rather than just sitting in the house surrounded by an almost ghost town. The shops were all different some very cultural as well as traditional whereas others were more contemporary and fashionable which is quite a big contrast.

My favourite part

The whale and dolphin watch was my favourite part because not only do I love to be on boats out at sea but I got to see especially dolphins the closest I've ever come to one! We saw the common dolphin, Atlantic spotted dolphin, bottled nose dolphin as well as a beaked whale.
On the way back it was hilarious because the sea was absolutely wild so that when we hit a wave the whole boat would leap up in the air and come crashing back down creating a massive splash which got everyone pretty soaked! It was literally like being on a roller-coaster of some sort!

So we went a 2nd time as we didn't see any whales on our first trip and we decided that we liked it so much that we wanted to go back to see our fishy friends! Not that we were expecting it but we managed to see 2 sperm whales along with the bottled nose and common dolphins. It's seriously amazing I loved every second of the trip and I could just watch dolphins and whales all day, they're such placid creatures and dolphins are just too cute!

Picture time!

 "It's time to dive guys!"

"Bye everyone!" ^^^^

So yeah I had a really nice time in Azores and it was a whole different experience to me and the landscape is gorgeous so I definitely recommend if you like exploring beautiful landscapes because this place is a magical exploring destination!

George ASDA Nail Polishes

George ASDA Nail Polishes
£1.75

So one day I was in ASDA with my friend having a casual browse as you do and she was telling me about how great she found their own range of nail polishes to be. I thought 'why not have a look, it can't hurt' And so I picked up the two nail polishes seen below. The blue colour is quite midnighty and I really like it.

As for the matte top coat I have been looking for one for-ever and I know that Rimmel do one but I haven't been able to find it anywhere! I thought a Matte top coat would be more useful than just buying an already Matte colour so you have more of an option to have shiny or matte nails.

Both of these dry quickly even though the Matte Finisher isn't 'quick dry', they both still dry pretty fast compared to your bog-standard nail polish.

Matte top coat                                  Colour Nail Polish
     No.63 Matt Finisher                             No.10 Dazzle

Here is the colour polish alone
                                                           (I apologise for the chipping)

Here I have added the matte and as you can see they're pretty matte.

For the price (£1.79) I would say they're really good but the Matte one comes out quite streaky but that could just be my fault. I would also say that you need quite a few layers for the colour one but again, that's my opinion. The colour nail varnish lasted around 3 days for me but the matte wore off after day 5. I really do love the colour of the Dazzle one and I think it would be really nice for an evening/party look. If you're after some cheap nail polishes, especially a matte top coat I would definitely look into purchasing these two gems.

Hope this helped

NYX Round Lipsticks

Outlet Centre Price - £2.95
The Beauty Store

I was visiting my local outlet centre because I wanted to get more make up but actually only ended up buying these two lipsticks (wah) anyway, I was pretty heartbroken when I found out the old shop called The Cosmetics Store had closed down but there is also another shop called The Beauty Store and thank god they had makeup in there still yay! I immediately went to the NYX lipstick section as I've recently become obsessed with buying lipsticks to the point where I can't go a week without buying at least one, oopps!

So on my search for some beautiful colours, I found these two charms.
Left - 634 Louisiana and right -599 Fire.

634 Louisiana

When I swatched these two on my hand I just instantly fell in love. They're both quite vibrant obviously depending on how many coats you apply and I just had to get them right away! They're sort of creamy so they moisturise your lips quite well but they are no way an oily texture which is fabulous. Personally, I love them and so should you ;)

       599 Fire

God knows why my hand looks tanner here
(probably the more accurate colour of my skin tbh)

Overall, I absolutely LOVE these lipsticks, they're so pigmented, moisturising and stay on as long as any other lipstick. NYX do such beautiful shades of lipstick in this particular range so I highly suggest you go and check it out!

5 Things I Can't Leave The House Without

When it comes to leaving the house, I never feel like I have everything I need, not until my bag is literally bursting at the seams.

1. My phone - As sad and bad as it sounds, if I'm on my own, I will get so bored and feel so out of place if I don't have my phone on me because usually if i'm bored I'll go on Instagram or anything to keep my brain occupied for a while. As I rarely remember I'm wearing a watch, I'll use my phone to read the time (which means I'll actually go digging in my bag to find my phone instead of looking at my wrist, doesn't make sense I know).

2. Hairbrush - I honestly go mad if I have forgotten my hair brush, I hate it when my hair gets tangled and matted and I will always give it a brush now and again as I don't really want bird nests hair!

3. Purse - I like to have money on me, even if it's a small amount. You just never know when you're going to need 2p or £10.

4. Keys - Obviously keys are an essential, especially if no one is home to let you back in after.

5. Me - I think the whole idea of 'me' leaving the house without myself is impossible. It just doesn't make sense. Okay, I'll stop typing now, it's getting weird... .

NYC Applelicious Balm - 355 Applelicious Pink

When I purchased my Expert Last lipstick I also bought this. It's part of NYC's new range called Applelicious (except the 'o' is in the shape of an apple, how clever!) Also going through the core of the balm is a cute apple shape.

-
This lip balm gives a nice subtle colour yet hydrates the lips for a long amount of time. Plus, it smells like apples which makes me want to eat it (don't worry I won't).

This particular colour is a lovely warm but bright pink which I think will suit anyone. It's definitely a great buy for the winter season as it will ensure you don't get chapped lips and at the same time will give you nice colour with just one coat.

Below is a swatch which is the result after just one coat so you could add more coats if wish.

Overall, I'd say it's a great little buy especially for a lip balm and at £2.49 I'd say why not.

NYC Expert Last Lipstick 432 Red Rapture

NYC Expert Last Lipstick 432 Red Rapture
Superdrug
£1.99
A while ago, I went into Superdrug to buy a new lipstick. I went to the NYC section and bought an Expert Last Lipstick which was in the shade Air Kiss... I think. I absolutely loved the pigmentation and the wear of it so I decided to go back for another.  I tried out several different shades but this one Red Rapture, stood out amongst the others for me, purely because it's a vibrant red shade and I'm a sucker for red lips. I loved the colour so I whisked it away and into the basket it went. As I'm not a lipstick toucher-upper (hmm that could sound wrong) I thought it would be another perfect companion for me.

Here is a swatch of the lipstick and that's just one coat see, told you it was vibrant!

It's highly pigmented, stays on for 3-4+ hours without re-applying plus it smells nice but you aren't able to smell or taste it whilst on the lips. I would HIGHLY recommend this lipstick and it's ONLY £1.99, like seriously, go and get yourself one like... NOW! I love love love it so much so I think you should give it a go also.
